The organization began its history in 1997 as an environmental engineering and contracting company under the name of Integrated Service Professionals. In June 2001, owners Robin Swan and Ronald E. Swan, Jr. registered the organization with the State of Michigan as a Limited Liability Corporation. During the registration process, the name was changed to Technical Service Professionals to better demonstrate the technical services offered by the firm. In 2008, the name TSP Environmental was also registered to emphasize TSP’s focus on providing high quality environmental services.
After its founding, TSP’s next major milestone came in 2005 when owners Robin and Ronald Swan decided to invest heavily to ensure TSP’s future. Toward that end, TSP began investing heavily in growth, setting a goal to double the size of the company in each of the next five years. Success has been seen in a larger workforce, a larger office and larger contracts which prove the strength of TSP’s service offerings. TSP’s professionalism and commitment to excellence have helped to build the company’s reputation as an expert in the field of environmental contracting.
