TSP Environmental provides mold testing and remediation services to address concerns from toxigenic mold species in homes and commercial buildings. TSP's service offerings are designed to support owners in the process of making informed decisions about indoor air quality hazards and to help owners resolve the most serious indoor air quality concerns.
The following sections briefly describe TSP's mold related service offerings. For additional information about mold and mold remediation, see our collection of frequently asked questions. Building owners with non-toxigenic mold or with only a small mold problem, are encouraged to read our article, When to Hire an Expert.
Air Quality Sampling
TSP provides air sampling services to assist building owners in determining whether or not their buildings suffer from indoor air quality concerns. At minimal cost, TSP will collect air samples from suspect locations throughout a building as well as bulk samples from surfaces which are likely to indicate the level of indoor air contaminants. Once collected, TSP submits the samples to an independent laboratory for determining a mold count and presents the results to the building owner. Mold need not be visible to significantly decrease air quality.
For business owners, indoor air quality remains one of the least recognized causes of inefficiency within organizations. Poor air quality not only can make employees sick, but it may also cause employees to work more slowly or be less satisfied with their jobs even if they show no symptoms of illness. Air sampling provides a cost effective way for employers to identify or exclude air quality as a factor which may make the working environment less productive.
Mold Remediation
TSP provides a full set of services for the remediation of significant indoor mold growth. Our services focus on providing building owners with a complete solution to mold problems including the remediation of existing mold growth and efforts to prevent additional growth in the future.
Most mold growth is an indication of some underlying problem which produces an environment in which mold can easily grow. Often, the underlying cause of a mold problem is unknown prior to remediation. In our experience, remediation of existing mold alone is insufficient to produce a lasting benefit even if anti-fungal agents are liberally applied to the area where mold growth was observed. TSP works with building owners to identify and remove the causes of mold growth on their property.
Bat Guano Remediation
Bat guano remediation is a specialized set of services designed specifically around resolving the unique challenges related to cleanup following a bat infestation. Bat guano is known to cause significant health concerns as it is a known habitat for Histoplasma capsulatum which, particularly in people with a compromised immune system, can cause serious or fatal illness known as Histoplasmosis.
