TSP provides operation and maintenance (O&M) services to owners of environmental management or remediation systems. TSP has served as the O&M contractor on numerous systems for the State of Michigan and for private clients.
TSP's primary O&M experience is providing contracting services at closed landfill sites. TSP is currently responsible for providing O&M at three closed landfills in southeastern Michigan. Our work includes management of landfill gas, leachate and groundwater management systems with varying complexity and operational demands ranging from performing work on an as-needed basis to performing weekly inspections and owner-directed adjustments. Our experience includes performing maintenance on methane flare, leachate pretreatment and groundwater management systems.
In addition to landfills, TSP also performs O&M at environmental remediation sites. Our remedial system work includes two projects which illustrate the range of TSP's capabilities. At one site, TSP was responsible for performing monthly inspections to ensure the continued operation of a groundwater remediation system and periodic sampling to evaluate whether or not the system is containing the spread of water-born contaminants as expected. At another site, TSP performed daily maintenance and reporting visits to a soil vapor extraction system which draws gasoline vapor and liquid product from a former gas station which had a leaking underground storage tank (LUST).
